vaccinations and immunisations
Vaccinations are vitally important, not just for the protection of your children but for the goal to eradicate certain diseases.
The current South African guidelines for vaccinations are in line with the recommendations from the World Health Organisation. They encourage vaccinations for the following diseases and illnesses, all of which could have serious implications:
- Measles
- Polio
- Pertussis (whooping cough)
- Diphtheria
- Tetanus
- Tuberculosis
With the current vaccination guidelines South Africa follows, over 2 million deaths are prevented each year across the world.
